Privacy Policy

What WordLab does and does not collect.

The short version

This site is a static reference site. There are no accounts, no logins and no forms that ask for personal information. Anything you type into a calculator on this site is processed in your own browser and is never transmitted to us.

Local storage

We store two small preferences on your own device so the site behaves sensibly on your next visit: your light/dark theme choice and, where a calculator exists, your last-entered body weight or units. These never leave your browser and you can clear them at any time through your browser settings.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits and understand which pages are useful. It records the page you viewed, a rough location derived from your IP address (which is truncated before storage), and general device and browser details. Anything you type into a calculator stays in your browser and is never sent to it. We do not build advertising profiles from this and we do not sell data.

Advertising

This site is funded by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve and measure advertising, including personalised advertising where you have given consent. You can manage your advertising choices at myadcenter.google.com, and read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are shown a consent message before personalised advertising cookies are set.

Third parties

Fonts are served by Google Fonts and pages are hosted by Vercel; both receive your IP address as a necessary part of delivering the page, as any web host does.

Children

This site is a general-audience reference and is not directed at children under 13.

Advertising cookies (Google AdSense)

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at www.aboutads.info. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google's certified consent message first.
